Onetime Auburn fireman is dead-funeral will be held on
Harry H. McClellan died unexpectedly at his home at 1327
South Cedar street, in Auburn, Thursday between 9:30 and 11 a.m. He had not
been ill, and the body was found by his wife. He was 60 years old.
He was born Jan. 9, 1909 in Auburn, to Alpheus and Clara
Cobler, who preceded him in death.
Mr. Mcclellan was employed as an assistant engineer at
the DeKalb High school north of Auburn. He was retired from the Auburn fire
department. He was married April 22, 1929 to Juanita McInturf, who survives.
Also surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Thomas Wilkins of
Flat Rock, Mich, two sons, Alpheus of 402 South Union Street, Auburn, and
Robert of Garrett; a brother, Terry of Ashley; two sisters, Mrs. Sam Giesinger
of 416 North Street, Auburn, and Mrs. Margaret Stahl of Rt 2 Waterloo, and
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Dilgard
and Cline Funeral Home in Auburn, with the Rev. Loren MacMillan, pastor of
the Auburn Nazarene Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
