Funeral services for Ella
Roberta Nelson, 82, mother of Mrs. Frank Duncan, 605 N. Main St., Auburn,
will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. in the Gethsemane
Lutheran Church,
Berkley, Mich.
Mrs. Nelson died Monday at 1:40
p.m. at DeKalb Memorial
Hospital, Auburn. Before her illness, Mrs.
Nelson had
resided at 2365 Beverly
Blvd., Berkley, Mich.
She was born
June 23, 1890, in Royal Oak,
Mich.,
to John and Liza (McClure) Bleakley. She was the widow of automotive
designer
C. John Nelson, who preceded her in death in 1951.
Mrs. Nelson
was a charter member
of the Gethsemane Lutheran Church,
Berkley, Mich.,
a graduate of the Detroit Business College,
a member of the Birmingham Chapter of the Order of Eastern Star, the
Berkley
Womens' Club, the Friendly Widows' Club, and Gethsemane Church's
Senior Citizens.
Survivors
include two sons, Carl
Nelson, Berkley, and John A. Nelson, Royal Oak, Mich.;
two
daughters, Elizabeth Nelson, Berkley,
and Mrs.
Frank Duncan, 605 N. Main
St., Auburn;
two brothers, Wesley John
Bleakley, Detroit, and David Bleakley, Birmingham, Mich.,
and seven grandchildren.
Funeral
arrangements were made
by the Sawyer-Fuller Funeral Home, Berkley.
Burial will be in the White Chapel Memorial
Cemetery, Troy, Mich.
