GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Arnold Joseph
Richter, 74, a former Auburn resident, died Monday in North Florida Regional
Hospital. He lived at 1024-A SW 60th Terrace, Gainesville.
He was the former owner of Nu-Way Shoe Rebuilders
on Ninth Street in Auburn. He lived in Auburn for 30 years until moving
to Florida in 1981.
Mr. Richter was born Dec. 25, 1910 in New Wells,
Mo. to Joseph and Bertha (Vogel) Richter.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Fay (Love); his
mother, Bertha Lueders, Angola; one son, Glen, Gainesville; one daughter,
Gail Lochner, Gainesville; two brothers, Enno, Fort Wayne, and Ervin, Jackson,
Mo.; one stepbrother, Harold Lueders, Arlington, Texas; one stepsister,
Oda Baatz, Fort Wayne; and four grandchildren.
Services were held at 2 p.m. today in the First
Lutheran Church of Gainesville, where he was a member. Burial was in
Forest Meadows Memorial Park-Central at Gainesville.

Arnold Richter, a former Auburn businessman, recently died in Gainesville,
Fla. He is survived by his mother, Bertha Leaders, of the Carlin Park
Nursing Home in Angola.
Services were to be held today. No other details
on Mr. Richter’s funeral arrangements were available.
