Obituary of the late Grace Rosenberry
Grace Audra Richey, daughter of Ozro
and Effie Richey, was born May 24, 1903 in Franklin twp., Dekalb Co., IN,
and passed to the great beyond, Aug. 9, 1932, at the age of 29 years, two
months and 16 days. She was moved from her home in Auburn on South
Jackson street, to the home of her parents on Mar. 8th where she has been
a constant sufferer of Bright’s disease, never complaining of her ailment.
She was a member of the 1922 graduating class of the Hamilton
She was united in marriage with Fred R. Rosenberry on
Oct. 24, 1922 and to this union was born three daughters, Laura May and Doris
Jean having preceded her in death and Ellen Lorraine still living.
The deceased leaves a husband, daughter, father, mother, sister, Eva at home,
two brothers, Harold at home and Claud of Auburn, a grandfather, Harvey Musser
of Hamilton and a host of relatives and friends. She was an active
worker in the M.E. Sunday school at Norris Chapel and will be greatly missed
by all who knew her.
Funeral services were held at the home Thurs. afternoon
at 1:30, conducted by the Rev. Joe Ferguson of Auburn. Burial in Butler
Card of thanks.
We wish to thank our neighbors and friends who so kindly assisted us in any
way during the illness and death of our loved one. Also to Rev. Ferguson
for his consoling words and the singers, Mr. And Mrs. George Blaker for their
Fred Rosenberry and Daughter Ellen, Ozro Richey and family.

Former Auburn resident is dead
Mrs. Grace Rosenberry, age 29, passes
away after illness from Bright’s disease.
Death at 12:05 a.m. on Tues. claimed the life of Mrs.
Grace Richey-Rosenberry, a former resident of Auburn who moved from 1302
South Van Buren street to the home of her parents, Mr. And Mrs. Ozro Richey
in Smithfield twp., two and a half miles southwest of Hamilton.
Mr. And Mrs. Rosenberry and daughter have been living
at the home of Mr. And Mrs. Richey since Mrs. Rosenberry’s illness starting
last March. Bright’s disease and complications caused her demise.
The deceased was born May 24, 1903, and her age at the
time of her death was 29 years, 2 months and 7 days.
She is survived by her husband, a daughter, Ellen Lorane,
a brother, Claude of Auburn, another brother, Harold at home and a sister,
Eva at home and also her parents.
The funeral will be held Thurs. afternoon at 1:30 o’clock
standard time from the residence of Mr. And Mrs. Richey and burial will be
made in the Butler cem.
