Rosenberry
Oliver Rosenberry was born in Troy twp.,
Dekalb Co., IN, June 19, 1853, and passed away at the home of his daughter,
Mrs. Malissa Carpenter in Butler, May 5, 1942, at the age of 88 years, 10
months and 16 days. He was a life-long resident of this community.
On June 30, 1877 he was married to the late Clarissa Ann
David and to this union was born 12 children, three of whom preceded their
father in death. Those that survive, beside his present widow, Mrs.
Jennie Rosenberry, are five sons, George of Butler, Harve of Huntington,
Clarence of Hamilton, Arthur and Fred Rosenberry of Butler, and four daughters,
Mrs. Malissa Carpenter, Mrs. Anna Griffin, Mrs. Flora Jennings of Butler
and Mrs. Bertha Whitman of Hamilton, one sister, Mrs. Dan McClellan of Butler
and one brother, Jacob Rosenberry of Cadillac, MI. Also several grandchildren
and other relatives.
Funeral services were held from the Phelps funeral home and burial was made
in Butler cem. The Rev. E.J. Schueler officiating.
