Willis Rowe GARRETT---Willis
L. Rowe, 83, died Friday, Nov. 16, 2001, at Miller's Merry Manor in Garrett.
Mr. Rowe was a World War II Navy veteran. He retired
in 1980 after 20 years of service with the Garrett Street Department.
He was born Feb. 15, 1918, in Steuben County to Edgar
W. and Jessy V. (Eachus) Rowe.
Surviving are his wife, Kathryn L. (Whysong) Rowe of
Garrett; three sons, Wayne "Butch" Rowe of Garrett, Donald Rowe of Angola,
and Willis Rowe Jr. of California; one Willis Rowe Jr. of California; one
daughter, Mary Ann Magginnis of Garrett; two stepsons; Oscar H. Curtland
of Hudson and Donald Curtland of Garrett; one stepdaughter Sharon Kay Zeigler
of Garrett; one brother, Jim Rowe of Fort Wayne; one sister, Wilma Osmulski
of Southgate, Mich.; 19 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Two brothers, Raymond and Joseph, one sister, Edna Hantz,
and three grandchildren preceded him in death.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 11 a.m. in
Calvary Cemetery, Garrett. The Rev. Ron Stambaugh, pastor of the Freewill
Baptist Church in Waterloo, will officiate. Military graveside services
will be conducted by the Garrett posts of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and
the American Legion.
Calling is Sunday from 2-5 p.m. in Feller Funeral Home,
875 S. Wayne St., Waterloo.
Memorials are to the family in care of the funeral home.
