Obituary in Butler Record, Thursday, March 17, 1927
Christian Teutsch, son of Michael and Sarah Teutsch,
was born in Alsaca Lorraine, France, April 15th 1852, and departed this life
near Butler, Ind., March 5, 1927. The family came to America in the
Fall of 1860 and located near Butler, where they resided until answering the
summons one by one, of a family of five children, the Father and Mother having
departed many years ago. There remains one sister, Mrs. Mary Tomlinson
now residing near Washington D.C.
Christian Teutsch was united in marriage to Miss
Almira Charles 1883, the Rev. Kane officiating. To this happy union
was born one child, Mrs. Fay Gallagher, of Toledo, Ohio.
In the month of September, 1926 our departed brother
found Jesus Christ as his personal Savior. He was a faithful Christian
the remaining time of his life here, having often attended the services at
the Waterloo Full Gospel Mission. In his last illness he spoke the words
of consolation to those near and dear to him while it was hard to say goodbye,
yet he knew the Lord had a better place prepared for him and he wanted to
go. His last words to wife, sister, and friends were, "Meet me in Heaven."
The bereaved wife, daughter and relatives wish
to thank the friends and neighbors for their kindness shown in the illness
of our departed one, also appreciation for the floral offerings."
