Dale M. Wagoner, 72, of 5029 CR4, Waterloo, died July 13 in DeKalb Memorial Hospital.

Born in Smithfield township, he was the son of Sumner B. and Mary Elvena Kiplinger Wagoner. He graduated from Ashley, Ball State and Indiana University, and served as a teacher and principal in the public schools for 44 years. He was a member of Barker’s Chapel United Methodist Church and a former member of the Lion’s Club.

Surviving are his wife, Lucile (Smith); two daughters, Lucy Ann Mullahoo of Bellingham, Mass., and Mrs. Thomas (Mary Carolyn) Emrick of Whitestown; three grandchildren; and one sister, Mrs. Frank (Mable) Wagner of Auburn.

Services were held at Feller Funeral Home in Waterloo, with the Rev. Russell Tague officiating. Burial was in Hamilton Cemetery. Preferred memorials are to Barker’s Chapel United Methodist Church.
