Is Dead At Age Of 88
Lifelong Resident of DeKalb County Passes
Away at Hospital in Hicksville—Funeral to be held at Spencerville.
Charles W. Watson, 88, a lifelong resident of DeKalb
County, died Tuesday at 2:15 a. m. at the Meagley sanitarium in Hicksville,
O. His death resulted from complications.
He had been a patient at the sanitarium for about
three months.
A farmer all his life, Mr. Watson was born in 1858
in Jackson Township, the son of the late Charles and Rachael Wyatt Watson.
He was the last of a family of 10 children. He was never married.
Surviving are three nephews, Douglas Furnish and
Floyd Watson of Jackson township
And Francis Furnish of South Bend, and two nieces, Mrs. Lola
Fuzzelman of Philadelphia and Mrs. P. P. Lochner of 1006 North Cedar Street,
Auburn, two cousins, Simeon H. Maurer of 514 South Indiana avenue, Auburn,
and Joseph Wyatt of 718 North Cedar Street, Auburn.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday
at the Lutheran church at Spencerville. Burial will be in the White
City cemetery at Spencerville. Friends may call at the Walter funeral home
in Spencerville after 1 p.m. Wednesday.
