      Floyd Watson, 79, route 2, Auburn, died at 10:25 a.m. Tuesday in DeKalb Memorial Hospital where he had been a patient five weeks.  He had been in failing health for several years.

     Watson was a lifetime resident of Jackson Township, where he was born in his farm home Feb. 23, 1896 to Jesse and Almeda (Franks) Watson.  He lived in the home all his life and it was the scene of his marriage on Nov. 27, 1917 to Agnes Rinehold, who survives.

     Also surviving are four children: Paul Watson, Route 1, Auburn, Oscar Watson, Route 1, Spencerville, Harry Watson, Cromwell: and Mrs. Mable Hook, Xenia, Ohio.

     Twenty-two grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren survive.

     Mr. Watson was a retired farmer and a charter member of the Farm Bureau.  He was a member of the Rehobeth M.E. Church.

     Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the Hopewell Church.  Rev. Howard Cherry will officiate with Rev. Raymond Jewell assisting.  Burial will be in Cedar Chapel Cemetery.

     Friends may call at Gerig Funeral Home after 2 p.m. today.
