He was an attorney in Henry County, Indiana in 1900. He married Mollie Brooks CUMMINS of Bluffton, May 11, 1904. To them a daughter, Katherine, was born. Katherine married Henry BRAY. They all resided on Watson Road in Indianapolis, IN in Fred's home.
Fred's mother married a second time to William F. SHELLEY. This marraige is recorded in Application Book 1 page 84, January 1, 1887. Christina BOON was the daughter of Driver BOON and ______ COOPER. William F. SHELLEY was the son of William SHELLEY and ______ COUDRY.
Found in the 1900 Henry County, Indiana census Winford F. SHELLEY was sixty-six years old, Christina was fifty three years old and step son, Fred C. GAUSE born August 1879.

FRED C. GAUSE
Fred C. GAUSE was buried in Crown Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis. He was born August 29, 1879 in Greensfork, Indiana to Dr. Thomas and Christina B. (BOONE) GAUSE.
