Condition:
This cemetery is fenced on two sides, mowed, but not maintained. Almost
all the stones are tablets and are broken, fallen, and many piled against
a tree. One row of tablets was stuck in wet concrete, so some tops have broken
off. Others have fallen out of their slotted bases and need to be mortared
back in. One small stack stone is sliding off its base.
Probable Story: Eight members of the Leak family were buried on the George
Bailey farm, which was most likely on the north side of the intersection
of 75W and 950N. In 1969, the graves and stones of six Leaks were brought
from the farm to Cundiff Cemetery. The stones of James and Elizabeth
Leak were also brought, but the graves were not moved. The field was
later plowed.
