In the spring of 2008, Jessica Felix led 8th graders from Cascade Middle School in cleaning, repairing and resetting over 150 gravestones in the old section.  Many tablet stones were embedded face-up in the ground and many stack stones were leaning.  There is still more work to do, but the students made a huge difference.

Some of the stones were able to be matched with bases and the rest were cleaned and set in a row close to the fence.
