Clipping hand dated 3/13/55 John C. Baskette Dies at 60; Rites Will Be Thursday John C. Baskette, 60, residing at 1326 S. 14th St., died early Sunday morning in the Henry County Hospital after a brief illness. Baskette had been employed in Dept. 84 at the Chrysler since 1936. Surviving are his mother, Mrs. Louona Baskette with whom he made his home; two sisters, Rev. Mrs. J.A. Dew of Knoxville, Tenn., and Ada Baskette, New Castle; three brothers, James W. Baskette, Frank M. Baskette and Robert H. Baskette, all of New Castle. Friends may call at the Macer Funeral Home at any time. The body will be taken to the Hawkins Mortuary in Lenoir City, Tenn., early Tuesday morning. Services will be held there Thursday afternoon with burial in Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Lenoir City.
