Clipping dated 3/16/46 Benoit-Stiers Vows Are Made Known Mr. and Mrs. Harry H. Lyon, 1821 Grand Ave., announce the marriage of their daughter, Berneice Stiers, to Garvey J. Benoit, son of Mr. and Mrs. T.G. Benoit of Los Angeles. The Rev. Carleton W. Atwater, pastor of the 1st Baptist church of Indianapolis, read the ceremony in the church Saturday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock. Mr. and Mrs. Merrill K. Lyon of Detroit, brother and sister-in-law of the bride, attended the couple. Prior to her marriage, the bride was employed by the Will R. McKown Insurance agency. Mr. Benoit was recently discharged after 3 years service in the armed forces.
