Mrs. Pearl Browning Dies Friday Night

Final rites were held Tuesday afternoon in the First Baptist Church for Mrs. L. Pearl Browning, 62, widow of J. Grover Browning, founder of the Browning Bus Line here, who died Friday night in Henry County Hospital following an extended illness. Burial was in South Mound cemetery. Survivors include four daughters, Mrs. Ruth Burton of Cincinnati, Mrs. Dorothy Daubenspeck and Mrs. Jessie Birch of New Castle and Mrs. Bette Chambers of New Albany; three sons, T-Sgt. Carl A. Browning of Biggs Air Force Base, Texas; R. Russell Browning and John T. Browning of Omaha, Neb.; and four brothers, Lewis Spillman of Pendleton, Ky., Carl Spillman of near Madison, Eli (Bill) Spillman and Robert Spillman, both of New Castle.
