Vate Bruner Dies Here

Vate Bruner, 611 Goodwin St., a resident of New Castle since 1910, died Friday afternoon at the Henry County hospital. He had been in failing health for over two years, but became seriously ill shortly after noon yesterday and death followed his removal to the hospital.

Mr. Bruner was born in Newbern, Ind., the son of Augustus and Jeanette Shepard Bruner. His first employment in New Castle was in the service department of the Maxwell Motor company. His last position was with the Schuffman Furniture store.

In 1917 he was married to Miss Margaret E. Baggerly. He was a descendant of the Munns of New York City and the town of Munson, Mass., was named for his forebears. Mr. Bruner was a member of the Unitarian church of the Larger Fellowship, Boston. He is survived by the widow.

The body has been removed to the Stanley mortuary, where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening. Funeral services will be conducted Monday morning at 10 o'clock at the Stanley chapel with the Rev. Herman Ast officiating. Burial will take place in South Mound cemetery.
