Clipping hand dated Oct 25, 44 Mrs. May Burk Mrs. May Burk, age 54, wife of Fred Burk, 110 N. 16th St., died suddenly Tuesday evening at her home. Mrs. Burk as a life-long resident of New Castle. She was a member of the 1st Methodist church. Surviving besides the husband are 2 daughters, Mrs. Vonnie Knapp of Indianapolis and Mrs. Ralph Spannuth of New Castle; a son, Fred Burk Jr. of New Castle; 5 grandchildren and 1 sister, Mrs. Elmer Harter of New Castle. Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the 1st Methodist church with the Rev. S.H. Turbeville officiating. Burial will be in Batson cemetery. The body will be removed from the Main and Sons funeral home to the residence where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening.
