Flora B. Caldwell, Resident 28 Years, Dies After Illness

Mrs. Flora B. Caldwell, 64, wife of Marval S. Caldwell, 2124 Plum St., died at the Henry County Hospital this morning after an illness of three weeks.

Mrs. Caldwell had lived in New Castle 28 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Order of Eastern Star of New Castle.

Suviving besides the husband are four daughters, Mrs. Pauline McCoy of Indianapolis, and Mrs. Boyd Williams, Mrs. Ward Bland and Mrs. Marshall Koontz of New Castle; one son, James T. Stamper of New Castle; eight grandchildren, her mother, Mrs. Blanche Carter of New Castle, two sisters, Mrs. Margaret Hicks and Mrs. Ella Mae Fort of New Castle; five brothers, Ollie Carter of Irvine, Ky., Paul Carter, Frank Carter and Robert Carter, all of New Castle, and Louis Carter of Fort Pierce, Fla.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Main and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. R. Melvyn Thompson officiating. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery.

Friends may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Friday. The Eastern Star members will hold special services for Mrs. Caldwell at the funeral home Friday at 7 p.m.
