Former Resident, 2 Sons Die After Friday Accident

Graveside Rites Held Here

Funeral services were conducted Tuesday afternoon in Shelbyville for Mrs. Mauneita Frances Donnella, 44, well-known former New Castle woman, and two sons, ages 2 and 6, who died as the result of an auto accident Friday night near Fountaintown.

Burial was in Southmound Cemetery here, where graveside rites were conducted.

They were the wife and sons of William Donnella and had moved to near Fountaintown about five years ago from New Castle.

At the time of the fatal mishap Mrs. Donnella was driving her son, Allen, and a friend to a school children's wiener roast. The collision occurred at an unguarded crossing northwest of Shelbyville and two miles from the Donnella's destination.

Allen was treated for minor injuries.

Also surviving Mrs. Donnella are her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Turner Haynes, 1628 Indiana Ave., another son, Douglas Stonerock of New Castle; a stepson, Rowland Donnella of Elkhart and two brothers, Carl Haynes, 2621 Spring St. and Melvin Haynes of South Bend.
