James Duncan, Age 77, Native of Kilbirne, Scotland, Dies

Resident Here Since 1915; Services Friday

James Duncan, 77, 1411 S. 21st St., a former employee of both the Chrysler and the Ingersoll Steel Division, died early this morning in the Henry County hospital following a short illness.

Mr. Duncan was a native of Kilbirnie, Scotland (NOTE: I know this is spelled differently than the headline but this is what it say - terri) and came to New Castle in 1915 from Sommer - the First Presbyterian church and the Odd Fellow lodge at Cambridge (NOTE: this is typed as written)

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Margaret Duncan; two sons, Jame B. Duncan of Indianapolis and Robert B. Duncan of Wellsburg, W. Va, a granddaughter, Mrs. Jack Kieci of Wellsburg and two great grandsons, Jack and Billie Kieci of Wellsburg, W. Va.

Friends may call at the Davis, Smith, Couden funeral home after 4 o'clock Thursday afternoon.

Services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the First Presbyterian chuch with Rev. David Tallman and Rev. Herman Ast officiating. Burial will be in South Mound cemetery.
