Clipping hand dated 9/13/1953 Howard B. Himes, Former Grocer Here, Is Dead Howard Benson Himes, 47, died suddenly at the home of his mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Himes, 1326 S. 17th, at 11 o'clock Sunday morning. Besides his mother he is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Raymond Kight of Columbus, Ohio; one son, Michael Benson Himes of Waynedale, Ind., and three grandchildren. Mr. Himes formerly was associated with his father, A.B. Himes in the grocery business on S. 14th St. here. His last employment was with the Standard Grocery Company, in it's meat department, in Columbus, Ind. The body is at the Fox and Macer funeral home where friends may call after 5 o'clock this evening. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Tuesday with Rev. George W. Hurt, Baptist minister, officiating; burial will be in South Mound.
