Clipping hand dated Nov 20, 1958 J. Claude Hunt Dies Here at 76; Funeral Monday J. Claude Hunt, 76, husband of Mrs. Mamie Hunt, 904 S. Main St., died Thursday afternoon at the New Castle Clinic following an illness of several weeks. An employe of Ingersoll Steel Division for more than 50 years, Mr. Hunt was supervisor of the shovel shop 17 years. He was retired in 1952. He was a member of the First Christian Church. Surviving besides the widow are a daughter, Mrs. Howard Steelman of Elon Colloege, N.C.; a step-daughter, Mrs. Ivan Thomas of New Castle; two stepsons, Capt. Henry Warren Askin of Baltimore and Byron Askin of Benton Harbor, Mich.; a grandson, James Robert Steelman of Elon College; five stepgrandchildren. The body has been taken to the Macer Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. R. Melvyn Thompson in charge. Entombment will be in the mausoleum at South Mound Cemetery.
