Frank Keever

Frank Keever, age 48, of 929 New York Ave, fireman at Billings hospital, Ft. Harrison for 5 years, died Tuesday afternoon in the Veterans hospital in Indianapolis, following an illness of a month's duration. Mr. Keever became ill with infection in his feet and both legs were amputated.

Born at Millville, Mr. Keever had spent most of his life in New Castle. He was employed by the Railway Express Co. for five years and by the New Castle Fire department for 13 years before going to Ft. Harrison. He was a veteran of World War I and belonged to the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Maude Keever; 4 daughters, Mrs. Roberta Miller of Muncie, Mrs. June Lister of Virginia, and the Misses Betty and Wanda Keever at home; 1 son, Frank V. Keever of New Castle; three grandchildren; his mother, Mrs. Nancy Belle Keever of New Castle, and one sister, Mrs. Ray May of New Castle.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Main and Sons funeral home with the Rev. Virgil Collins officiating. Burial will be in South Mound cemetery.

The body will be removed to the home, 929 New York Ave, where friends may call after 7 o'clock this evening until 1 o'clock Thursday afternoon.
