C.M. Kendall, 77, Here 55 Years, Is Dead at Hospital

Charles M.Kendall, 77, died at the Henry County Hospital this morning after a short illness.

A lifelong resident of Henry County, Mr. Kendall had lived in New Castle 55 yeras. He moved to Spiceland about a year and a half ago.

Mr. Kendall had worked at the Hoosier factory for 37 years and at the New Castle Casket factory for 12 years until his retirement in 1954.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Mr. and Mrs. Kendall celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary on Dec 24, 1955.

Surviving are the widow, Emma; two daughters, Mrs. Dorotha Kendall of New Castle and Miss Viola Kendall, at home; four sons, Everett Kendall of Lewisville, Glen of Richmond, Arlie of Spiceland and Clifford of New Castle; 21 grandchildren; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Kinnerman of Fortville and Mrs. Hazel Hamilton of Cadiz; two brothers, Sanford Kendall of Scottsburg and John E. Kendall of New Castle; several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at the Main and Sons Funeral Home with Rev. George Hurt officiating.

Burial will be in Circle Grove Cemetery in Spiceland.

Friends may call at the funeral home any time after this evening.
