Cambrige City--- Otto C. Parkhurst, 81, formerly of
R.R. 1 died Thursday afternoon at Oak Ridge
Convalescent Center, Richmond, where he had lived for
three years.
He was born in Fowlerton, and had lived in Lewisville
and Cambridge City areas all his life. He retired in
1967 from Merchandise Equipment Group where he was a
night watchman.
He was the widower of Sarah Parkhurst, who died in
1945. He is survived by six sons, Clifford of
Hagerstown, George of Brownsville, Texas, Robert, of
Sherman, Texas, Rex, of Hollywood, Calif. David of
Richmond, and Douglas of Mount Sterling, KY, one
daughter, Coralyn Tollett, Cambridge City, one sister
Helen O'Neal, Abilene, Texas; 33 grandchildren and 18
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death two
sons, Clarence and Ted, two daughters, Juanita Clark
and Carolyn Weilenman, two sisters Mabel Carson and
Cleo Durham.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 6, at Marshall
Funeral Home in Dublin, with Rev. David Wolfe
officiating. Burial will be in Lewisville Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday April 5, and
before services on Monday. Memorial contributions may
be made to Wayne County Heart Association.
