Alfred Pfenningers to Mark Golden Wedding Anniversary

Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Pfenninger of 211 Riley Rd., will observe their 50th wedding anniversary Sunday, April 8, with a family dinner at Vance's Restaurant and an open house from 2 to 5 p.m. at the home of their son, Byron Pfenninger and Mrs. Pfenninger, 501 Cedar Drive.

Mr. and Mrs. Pfenninger were married April 7, 1912, at the home of the late Rev. Charles Holaday.

They are the parents of nine children, Lt. Elmer (deceased), Walter, Avis, Byron, Frank, Mrs. Robert (Lena) Simmons, Mrs. Charles (Leona) Lines and Mrs. Jack (Ada) Marcum, all of New Castle and Mrs. Dan (Doris) Tipton of Indianapolis.

The Pfenninger's have 24 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

Mr. Pfenninger was a pattern maker at the Davis Foundry for 38 years before retiring in 1951.

Friends and relatives are invited to call on the couple. The Pfenninger's have requested no gifts.
