Mrs. Hildred Ramsey, 56, of 220 N. Main St., died Monday noon at the Tipton County Memorial Hospital after an illness of nine months.
She was the daughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. George W. Carrier of New Castle, was born near Ridgeville and lived in New Castle 39 years. She was a member of the First Christian Church and the Pythian Sisters. She had been an employee of the World Bestos plant. In the early 1930s, she was the director of the Auto License Bureau here; her father was a Democrat county chairman.
Survivors are the husband, Raymond; a daughter, Mrs. Alice Tidrow, of Tipton; two grandchildren, Ronald and Jeannine Tidrow; and a sister, Mrs. Helen Rhoades, of this city.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Main and Sons Funeral Home. Rev. R. Melvyn Thompson will conduct rites and burial will be in South Mound. Friends may call at the funeral home after 7 o'clock this evening.
