Samuel S. Roll, 72, Long Ill, Is Dead; Rites Set Monday

Samuel S. Roll, 72, died in his home at 1308 Lincoln Ave. early this morning after a long illness.

Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Ruth Roll; a daughter, Mrs. J.A. Tapin of Detroit, Mich.; a sister, Mrs. Robert B. Nicholson of Orange Park, Fla., and four grandchildren.

Mr. Roll was a member of the Methodist Church and also was a member of the Masonic and Elks Lodges. He was a Chrysler Corp. employee for many years before his retirement due to illness.

Friends may call at the Macer Funeral Home after noon Sunday. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday in the funeral home with Rev. J. Thomas Frost officiating. Burial will be in South Mound cemetery.
