Clipping hand dated 5/6/52 George L. Shelley Dies at Daughter's Home; Was 87 George Len Shelley, 87, died in the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frances E. Morrell, 918 S. 15th St., this morning at 1 o'clock after a brief illness. Surviving besides the daughter at whose home death occurred are two other daughters, Mrs. Ethel Hensley of Portland, Ore., and Miss Georgia L. Shelley of New Castle; a son, Robert W. Shelley of New Castle; three granddaughters, Marlene and Eileen Shelley of Eaton, O.; and Mrs. Rosemary Cartozian of Portland, Ore.; a great grandson, Aram J. Cartozian of Portland, Ore. Mr. Shelley was a member of the Masonic lodge of New Castle for about fifty years and was a member of the Odd Fellows lodge here for more than 50 years. The body was taken to the Fox and Macer Funeral home where friends may call after 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the funeral home with Rev. Elmer Adams officiating. Burial will be in Sugar Grove cemetery.
