George D. Shults, Retired Chrysler Employe, Is Dead

George D. Shultz, 71, husband of Mrs. Lucretia A. Shults, 504 S. 12th St., died Wednesday in the Henry County Hospital. He had been in ill health for the last several months.

Surviving besides his wife are his daughter, Mrs. Wanda Pahl of New Castle; three granddaughters, Anita Lee Pahl of New Castle and Celia Ann Shults and Jane Ellen Shults of Baton Rouge, La., a grandson, Richard Pahl of New Castle; two brothers, Williams Shults of New Castle and Robert Shults of Lakeland, Fla., and several nieces and nephews.

A son, George Jr., died in 1948.

He was an employee of Chrysler Corp. 37 years before his retirement three years ago. He was a member of the First Christian Church, the American Legion, and the Last Man's Club of the American Legion.

Friends may call at the Macer Funeral Home after 4 p.m. Friday and services will be held at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Rev. R. Melvyn Thompson and Rev. David Tallman officiating.

The American Legion will be in charge of services at the Sound Mound Cemetery.
