Clipping dated 11/20/58 Mrs. Ruth Shutt, Church Secretary, Dies at Residence Mrs. Ruth Shutt, 64, wife of A.J. Shutt, died Thursday afternoon at her home, 506 S. 15th St., following an illness of several months. A member of the First Methodist Church, Mrs. Shutt had served as its secretary for 20 years. She was a member of the Prima Philathea Class and the WSCS of the Church, the Eastern Star, Business and Professional Women's Club and the Shakespeare Club. Surviving besides her husband are two sisters, Mrs. Ethel Roberts of New Castle and Rev. Mrs. Maurine Fisher of Ogden; two brothers, Ted Leakey of Knightstown and Russell Leakey of Andrews; nieces and nephews. The body has been taken to the Macer Funeral Home where friends may call after 7 p.m. Saturday. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at the funeral home with Rev. J.T. Frost and Rev. Ed Pile officiating. Burial will be in South Mound Cemetery. The Order of Eastern star will hold a memorial service at 7 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
