Handwritten date 11/26/53 Oral O. Symmes Dies; Funeral on Saturday Funeral services for Oral O. Symmes, 71, who died Thursday at his home, 1430 W. Eighth St., will be conducted at the residence at 2 p.m. Saturday. The body was taken to the residence from the Piepho Funeral Home and friends may call after 4 p.m. Death followed an extended illness. Mr. Symmes was a retired interior decorator who came to Muncie 40 years ago from Redkey. He was a member of the Jr. OUAM and the Eagles Lodge. Surviving are his wife, Pearl, and one sister, Mrs. Dollie Hevling, Hammond.
