Mrs. Hester Katherine Welborn, age 34, died this morning at 5:45 o'clock at the Clinic, after an illness of 2 months.
Mrs. Welborn had been nurse superintendent at the Clinic for the past 3 years.
Born in Spiceland, Mrs. Welborn graduated from New Castle high school in 1928. She took her nurse's training at the City hospital, Indianapolis, graduating from there in 1932. She was a member of the Henry County Nurse's organization and had served as president.
Her parents were Edmond Slatter, who died last Easter, and Mrs. Rosa Slatter, who died on New Year's day.
Surviving are 1 sister, Lydia Sellers, at home, and a cousin, Ray Cheshire of New Castle.
The body is being removed from the Davis funeral home to the residence, 1338 S. 14th St., where friends may call this evening and until the hour of the funeral.
Funeral services will be held Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Davis funeral home with the Rev. Jesse Stanfield officiating. Burial will be in South Mound cemetery.
