Clipping is hand dated 10/27/51 Henry Whitfield Dies; Rites Set Henry Whitfield, 63, died Saturday night at 7:40 o'clock at his home, 929 S. 16th St. Mr. Whitfield was a native of Clarksville, Tenn., and came to New Castle in 1912. For 18 years he was head mechanic at the Joe Newby garage and for the past 25 years had engaged in the cement contracting business. Mr. Whitfield was a member of the Wiley Methodist Church. Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Mattie Whitfield; a brother, Barker Whitfield of Indianapolis; three sisters, Mrs. Bobay Woods, Clarksville, Tenn., Mrs. Richard Ramey, Chicago, and Mrs. Maggie Hollingsworth, Columbus, O., and a niece, Mrs. Marian Bassett, New Castle. The body has been taken from the Stanley mortuary to the residence where friends may call. Services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Wiley Methodist church with Rev. Donald E. Morris officiating. Burial will be in South Mound cemetery.
