William Harold Alexander Obituary
William H. Alexander, 51, Little Acres,
Seymour R4, died at 7:46 a.m. today, October 10, at Schnech Memorial Hospital, after an illness of six months.
A native of Jackson County, Mr. Alexander was born June 12, 1919 to the late William Alexander and Olive L. Martin Alexander, who survives here. On Jan. 25, 1946, in Seymour, he married the former Lois L. Plumer, who survives.
Mr. Alexander was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ. He was a World War II Veteran and an employee of the U.S. Shoe Company, Osgood. He was also a member of Seymour Aerie No. 655 of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Leslie-Arbuckle-Zimmerman Post No. 1925. Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors in addition to the mother and widow include two children, Larry G. Alexander, of Indianapolis, and Bonnie L. Alexander, at home; four sisters, Mrs. Joseph (Gladys) Taylor, of Los Angeles, Calif., Mrs. James (Della) Jaynes and Mrs. Arthur (Lucille) Gerth, both of Seymour, and Mrs. Eugene (Norma) Wright of Crothersville; and one grandson, William Neal Alexander, of Seymour.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday from the Voss Chapel with the Rev. Russell P. Kemmerer, pastor of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, officiating. Burial in Riverview Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Voss Mortuary after 7 p.m. Saturday.
