Alaina C. Allman, 12, Greenwood, died Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at her home in White River Township.
She was a sixth-grader and was a member of Mount Pleasant Christian Church in Greenwood and the church’s basketball and soccer programs and the Johnson County 4-H Horse and Pony Club and 4-H Dog and Puppy Club. She loved all animals and her pet dog Chase.
Born Sept. 21, 1989, in Beech Grove, she was a daughter of Randall R. Allman, Greenwood, Mary F. Schlinker Dowden, Beech Grove, and Beth Eads Allman, Greenwood.
In addition to her parents, survivors include six brothers, Christopher “Chip” Dowden, Mishawaka, Brian Dowden and Ryan Scruggs, both of Indianapolis, Nick Tharp, Greenwood, and Derek Scruggs and Lucas Dowden, both of Beech Grove; three sisters, Tara Tharp, Chasity Allman and Skylar Allman, all of Greenwood; paternal grandparents, Larry and Judy McKinney Allman, Indianapolis; maternal grandparents, Mitch Schlinker, Louisville, and Judy Davis Schlinker, Beech Grove; great-grandmothers, Oguerita McKinney, Brownstown, and Lib Allman, Medora; and stepgrandparents, Gordon and Beth Taylor Eads, Greenwood.
The Rev. Craig Tucker will conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday at Mount Pleasant Christian Church, Greenwood. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in White River Township.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Forest Lawn Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Home State Road 135 Chapel in Greenwood, and from 10 a.m. until time of service Friday at the church.
