Harold Allman Obituary
Seymour Daily Tribune - December 28, 2004
Harold Alllman, 71, Columbus, died at 2:30 a.m.
Monday, Dec. 27, 2004, at his residence.
Mr. Allman was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He retired from Cummins Engine Co. in 1987 after 25 years of service. He was a member of East Columbus United Methaist Church and the Diesel Workers Union. He enjoyed hunting, raising rabbit dogs and mushroom hunting.
Born Aug. 6, 1933, at Cortland, he was a son of Purtle and Retha Poore Allman, who preceded him in death. He married Patty Jane Walters May 9, 1958.
He is survived by a son, Kenneth F. Allman, Columbus; three daughters, Amy L. Griffin and Sherry R. Evans, both of Columbus, and Susan K. Frazer, Seymour; three brothers, Fred and Robert Allman, both of Columbus, and Richard Allman, Norman; nine grandchildren, Kyla, Cody and Zachary Allman, Dustin and Tiffany Griffin, Joshua and Jenice Joy and Brittany and Joey Frazer; a great-grandson; and two stepgrandsons.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Brandie Griffin.
The Rev. Larry McIntosh will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home, Columbus, with burial at Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
