Ruby Ashcraft, 92, of Seymour and formerly of Bedford, passed away at 8:40 a.m. Tuesday, March 30, 2010, at Covered Bridge Health Campus in Seymour.
Mrs. Ashcraft retired from Sarkes-Tarzian Inc. in Bloomington and attended First Baptist Church in Seymour.
Born Nov. 3, 1917, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Clyde and Bertha Achors Bennett, both of whom preceded her in death. She married Ray Ashcraft on July 2, 1934, and he preceded her in death Jan. 16, 2005.
Survivors include a daughter, Sue Etta Eisenmenger; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Jean (Merle) Summerville and Donna (John) Hassler.
She was preceded in death by a son, J. Dean Ashcraft; a daughter, Janet Kaye Davis; and a grandson, Martin Luther Davis.
The Rev. Homer Roberts will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Elmwood Chapel of Day & Carter Mortuary, Bedford. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens.
Friends may call from 9 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
