Helen C. "Pinkie" (Zaring) Babbs Obituary
Tribune - December 9, 2010Helen C. "Pinkie" Babbs, 85, Brownstown, passed away at 8:41 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 8, 2010, at Hoosier Christian Village in Brownstown.
Mrs. Babbs was a member of Mount Eden Christian Church, Washington County. She enjoyed working word-find puzzles in her spare time.
Born June 22, 1925, in Texhoma, Texas, she was the daughter of Homer and Roxie Voyles Zaring. In 1954, she married Charles Babbs, who preceded her in death Aug. 11, 1988.
Survivors include three children, Norman Babbs of Vallonia, Larry (Beverly) Babbs of Tampico and Charlotte (Greg) White of Batesville; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Winklepleck-Weesner Funeral Home, Brownstown. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.
Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday and from 10 a.m. until time of service Saturday at the funeral home.
