David L Bane Obituary
Tribune - December 14, 2010David L. Bane, 57, Brownstown, passed away at 8:34 p.m. Saturday, December 11, 2010, at the home of his parents, Emmett and Lucille Bane.
Mr. Bane was a member of First Church of the Nazarene, Seymour. He had worked for Bane & Warren Construction for 20 years. In May of 1992, he began working at Seymour Tubing, and had worked there up until the present time.
He was an avid gardener, which he inherited from his maternal grandmother. He loved high school sports, especially the girls' volleyball team. He loved to play practical jokes on his friends, and he loved having a good time.
He was a very caring and giving man who worried about those close to him who were sick. He loved his Walmart adventures and learning lessons about money with his most favorite friend, Kyan.
Born May 16, 1953, in Jackson County, he was the son of Emmett and Lucille Goss Bane, both of whom survive. He had been married to Rebecca McKain.
Other survivors include one sister, Sharon Smith; one niece, Jerri K. Smith; one nephew, Matthew Smith; one stepniece, Kim (Tim) Hurt; and a special friend, Kyan.
He was preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Jerry Smith; maternal grandparents, Chester and Florence Goss; and paternal grandparents, Joseph and Adra Bane.
Michael Hogg will conduct a memorial service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brownstown Christian Church.
