Steven S. Barrett Obituary

Steven S. Barrett, 86, Scottsburg, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002, at Veterans Administration Medical Center, Louisville.
Mr. Barrett was owner of and retired from Steve’s Auto in Austin. He was a veteran of World War II.
Born Aug. 22, 1915, in Owsley County, Ky., he was a son of John Barrett and Neva Gibson Barrett.
Survivors include two sons, Dennis Barrett, Austin, and Richard Warman, Scottsburg; three daughters, Linda Barrett, Underwood, Barbara Warman, Scottsburg, and Becky Kemper, Salem; companion, Lois Shepard, Scottsburg; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; a brother, Albert Barrett, Margarate, Florida; and three sisters, Helen Hacker Seymour, Gertrude Horn, DeBary, Florida, and Alfa Edmonson, Crothersville.
The Rev. Phil Lamaster will conduct funeral services at 11 a.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin. Burial will be in Crothersville Cemetery. Military graveside rites will be conduced by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1083, Crothersville.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at the funeral home.
