Raymond H. Beickman Obituary
Seymour Daily TribuneRaymond H. "Ray" Beickman, 94, died Monday, December 11, 2006, at Providence Retirement Home, New Albany.
He was a native of Brownstown and was the accounting department supervisor at the Colgate Company, Clarksville, retiring in 1975 after some 40 years of service. Mr. Beickman was a life-long member of Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany, where he served multiple terms as a board member. He was the former president of the Clarksville town board. He also served as both the police and fire commissioner for Clarksville.
Survivors include one son, Dale (Connie) Beickman, The Villages, Florida; one daughter, Carol (Jim) Ford, Jeffersonville; three grandsons, Kevin (Denise) Beickman, New Albany, Dr. Kristopher (Julie) Beickman, Henderson, Kentucky, and Brian (Krista) Ford, Crestwood, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Jenny Ford, Charlestown and Julie Ford, Jeffersonville; three great-grandsons, Zachary, Adam and Lucas Beickman; three great-granddaughters, Krista, Hannah and Sydney Beickman; four brothers, Herbert Beickman and Wilbert (Bert) Beickman, both of Brownstown, and Elmer Beickman and Richard (Myrt) Beickman, both of Clarksville; one sister, Louise (Ray) Young, Brownstown, eight nephews and seven nieces.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany. Private entombment will take place at Kraft-Graceland Memorial Park.
Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Kraft Funeral Service, New Albany, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Friday at Grace Lutheran Church, New Albany.
Memorials may be given to Love Offerings of Grace Lutheran Church.
