Vickie Bennett Obituary

Vickie Bennett, 56, of Seymour, passed away at 3:30 p.m., Sunday, November 22, 2009, at her residence.

Mrs. Bennett was a member of Mountain Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary.

Born February 14, 1953, in Bellaire, Ohio, she was the daughter of Charles W. Palmer and Sara E. Greenwood Palmer Rhodes, and was raised by Harold and Genevieve Tootsie Goodrich, all of whom preceded her in death. On November 11, 1989, in Indianapolis, she married Jo Bennett who survives.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her children, Lisa (Dan) Creech, Daniel Williams, David Trigg and James Trigg; stepchildren, Bryce (Marci) Bennett, Stacie Bennett; nine grandchildren; sisters, Susan (Bill). Nesbitt, Sarita King, Paula Rush and Sherry Palmer; and brothers, Joseph (Rhea) Palmer and Paul Palmer.

The Rev. Van Breeding will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Mountain Baptist Church. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Voss Chapel and from 9 a.m. until time of service Wednesday at the church.
