Larry S. Bias, 52, Austin, died at 11:57 a.m. Friday, January 11, 2002, at Jewish Hospital, Louisville.
Mr. Bias was an offshore drilling engineer and served in the Vietnam era.
Born December 11, 1949, in West Virginia, he was a son of Robert Bias and Beatrice Kennedy Bias. His mother survives. On March 15, 1976, in Seymour, he married Judith Ann Deckard, who survives in Austin.
Other survivors include a son, James Allan (Wendy) Sitterding, Vallonia; a daughter, Tereca (Thomas) Schryer, Seymour; four grandchildren, Clay Miller, Tori Meneely, Skyler Sitterding and Caleb Schryer; three brothers, Barry Bias, North Vernon, David Bias, Florida, and Danny Bias, Ohio; and a sister, Brenda Cook, Ohio.
The Rev. Jack Shake will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Monday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel, Seymour. Burial will be in Vallonia Cemetery. Full military graveside rites will be conducted by Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1925, American Legion Post 89, Disabled American Veterans 47 and Vietnam Veterans 7, all of Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from noon until time of service Monday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the Heart-Lung Foundation of Jewish Hospital.
