Jesse F. Bottorff Obituary
Seymour Daily TribuneJesse F. Bottorff, 88, of West Lafayette and formerly of Columbus, died at 6:40 p.m. Monday, May 20, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.
Mr. Bottorff retired from Hamilton Harris where he was a manager. He was a member of First Baptist Church and the Columbus Optimist Club, and he was a graduate of Central Normal College in Danville.
Born May 26, 1913, in Washington County, he was a son of Lewis and Rosella Dowling Bottorff. On May 25, 1939, he married Emma Louise Blau and she died Aug. 17, 1990.
He is survived by a daughter, Barbara A. Bozell, West Lafayette; a grandson, Douglas A. Bozell, Louisville; a sister, Wilma Wetzel, Crothersville; and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Landis and Donald Bottorff; and two sisters, Margaret Hall and Alice Higdon.
The Rev. Tim Borchert will conduct funeral services at 1 p.m. Thursday at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home, Columbus. Burial will be at Crothersville Cemetery, Crothersville.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. until the time of service Thursday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
