Joseph L. Bowers Obituary
Seymour Daily TribuneJoseph L. Bowers, 62, Scottsburg, died Tuesday, March 26, 2002, at Norton Hospital, Louisville.
Mr. Bowers was a retired mechanic.
Born March 15, 1939, at Salem, he was a son of Thurman Bowers and Irene Bowers. His mother survives in Haleysburg. His wife, Bonnie Bowers, survives in Scottsburg.
Other survivors include three sons, David Bowers, Little York, Rocky Bowers, Scottsburg, and Edward Bowers, Campbellsburg; a daughter, Charlotte Lundy, Crothersville; 13 grandchildren; four brothers, Wayne Bowers, Medora, Lonney Bowers, Campbellsburg, Dale Bowers, Sparksville, and Dean Bowers, Haleysburg; and two sisters, Norona McFelea, Campbellsburg, and Linda Walls, Paoli.
He was preceded in death by a son.
The Rev. Bill Deaton will conduct services at 11 a.m. Friday at Buchanan Funeral Home, Austin. Burial will be in Little York Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
