Velma L. Brock Obituary
Seymour Daily TribuneVelma L. Brock, 76, Columbus, died at 11:24 p.m. Monday, December 6, 2004, at Columbus Regional Hospital.
Mrs. Brock worked at Cummins Engine Co. for 35 years, retiring in 1986 as an administrative assistant. She was a member of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church and a part-time employee at Wal-Mart.
Born August 30, 1928, at Seymour, she was a daughter of Edwin J. and Emma L. Brand Hageman, who preceded her in death. She married Charles E. Brock in 1952, and he preceded her in death in 1984.
She is survived by a son, James Brock, Columbus; a daughter, Ellen Weaver, Columbus; a brother, Alger Hageman, Columbus; five grandchildren, Kara Gubert, Matthew and Wendy Weaver, Kathryn Arnholt and Peter Brock; and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
The Rev. Mark Teike will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Columbus, with burial at Garland Brook Cemetery, Columbus.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Barkes, Inlow & Weaver Funeral Home, Columbus, and from 9 a.m. until time of service Thursday at the church.
Memorials may be made to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Columbus.
