Ruth Browning Obituary
Seymour Daily TribuneRuth Browning, 93, Arcadia, died at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2002, at Tipton County Memorial Hospital, Tipton.
Mrs. Browning was a member of Kemp United Methodist Church and the Kemp Methodist Women’s Society. She lived in the Tipton area for 50 years, moving from Seymour.
Born March 20, 1909, in Shelbyville, Kentucky, she was a daughter of Edwin and Effie Barringer Blumer. On August 31, 1929, in Seymour, she married Maurice G. Browning and he died in 1988.
She is survived by three sons, Robert (Carolyn) Browning, Arcadia, Richard (Barbara) Browning, Anderson, and John (Darlene) Browning, Frankton; a daughter, Martha (Richard) Rager, Columbus; 13 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded by a grandson and a great-granddaughter.
The Rev. John Hoggsett will conduct funeral services at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Kemp United Methodist Church, Tipton. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.
Friends may call from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Leatherman-Morris-Boyer Funeral Home, Tipton.
Memorial contributions may be made to Kemp United Methodist Church.
