Irene E. Brown, 82, Seymour, died at 8:50 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2002, at Lutheran Community Home.
Mrs. Brown was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church and had retired after 24 years with the G.C. Murphy Store as a clerk.
Born August 28, 1919, in Loogootee, she was a daughter of John Trambaugh and Mary Harder Trambaugh. On June 29, 1946, in
St. John’s Catholic Church, Loogootee, she married Clark F. Brown, who died June 23, 1995.
Survivors include two children, Randall F. (Kathleen) Brown and Michael D. (Terri) Brown, both of Seymour; six grandchildren,
Brianne, Lindsay, Shawn M., Trent, Derek and Lauren Brown; a great-grandchild, Logan Richey; two brothers, Howard Trambaugh
and Carl Trambaugh, both of Loogootee; and a sister, Helen Trambaugh Vest, Loogootee.
She was preceded in death by three brothers, Ed, Willard and Art Trambaugh, and a sister, Margaret Trambaugh.
The Rev. Ralph Blomenberg will conduct services at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Voss and Sons Funeral Service, Voss Chapel,
Seymour. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery, Seymour.
Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today and after 9 a.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
